Esther Rantzen is not a good spokesperson for the elderly.  Because what the elderly need more than anything else, is a decent increase in their State pension, and I cannot see Ester Rantzen stating that she also should receive a much higher State pension because she has also paid in for such a State pension.

Rich people who support pensioners should make the case for a decent State pension as a "right" for all UK pensioners.  Because such a State pension has been paid for in the past.  This would blow away the need for means testing the elderly.
