Annette Albert left a comment for Grey PrideIf you are aged over 65 you cannot claim a carer's allowance or take advantage or events held by the Carers Association. I have a neighbour who is a carer for her husband who is 90, a veteran of DDay and among other health issues he is registered blind. Discrimination? Would there be a case to take?

Hello Annette
Great to have you here with us.
We appreciate that some people find age related groups can sometimes be divisive however we are passionate about celebrating older people all they bring to a community when able to be an integral part of one and included. We want a Minister for Older People to highlight demographic change and champion the inclusion of older people. The fact is that the older people are simply younger people who have aged.
Welcome to Grey Pride Annette!
Thank you for joining our community!
The hot topics Grey Priders on the site are discussing at the moment include ‘are older people in big houses selfish’, ‘pension planning’ and ‘bus passes’.
We want to get a debate going on exactly what the crucial issues facing older people are, and what old age means to you. Why not introduce yourself to the community by writing a blog or joining in on our discussion page?
Let’s get people talking and paying attention to our ageing population!
