The Grove Road Estate Inclusion Project - update Oct 2012
The estate still suffers from a few negative people who do all they can to run down, criticize, mock and actually sabotage our project. Incredible as it may seem, it's snowing here in Birmingham. Woke up this morning, went into kitchen to make a cuppa, thought 'It's a bit cold...' Waited for the rain... SNOW! AGE UK INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS
Hi friends - I was thrilled to be named one of this year's two Age UK Internet Champions at an award ceremony at the Royal Society, London, last week. The trophy (see my Facebook page) was presented by the wonderful and kind June Whitfield.

I thought I'd send you a quick message to draw your attention to a new topic I've just posted about community resources as I think you'd have some good thoughts to share on the topic...plus i mention your community gardening project in it :)

What a fantastic way to celebrate entering that new stage, the symbolism, the crown and especially the chocolate cake! The Red Tent shares Grey Pride's enthusiasm for ensuring the needs of older people are understood and represented.
I think other members would be interested in hearing more about your views and the croning ceremony, maybe you could add a new blog on the subject? Do you think it would be ok to present the petition at the next meeting? We have managed to get 40,000 signatures so far but still have a long way to go.
