Hi Kathryn, just signed up but cannot upload a profile pic.despite several attempts. Would welcome advice.
Hi Kathryn, thanks for the comment and I'm enjoying the community site hugely - about time there was a place where we grey-hairs can get away from the Facebook crowd!!! If you want to have a look at what I do in and around Gosport, take a look at GosConCen and GJK
and even GMC. Let me know what you think.
Hi Kathryn
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I spent the day relaxing, then went as usual to play bingo in the communal lounge. My OH Terry is the bingo caller, and he's a bit of a laugh. I've still got some of my Thorton's Continentals left, but not many... hehehe...
Thankyou for wishing me a happy birthday, I will be 61 and will have to try get my paper work done to be able to get a "pension" in September. I was told that i may even get a bus pass then if this goverment doesnt decide to take them away from us. (So i was told by the woman in the council tax office) That cheered me up no end (not) How is the petition going? We as you know deliverd it to 10 downing street last November. I have not heard a peep of any news yet. I realy cant make out why the Labour has a shadow minister for the older person and the Con Dem hasnt, I still am trying to spread the word in regards of this matter and i am told oh realy! This goverment hasnt a minister to help us?
, So, When will we hear in regards of if Mr. Cammeron has even received the petition????? This year in Feb, When i received my award from Tendring council ( The Tendring pride award) for helping with the petition I met Mr. Bernard Jenkins, M.P. I mentioned the petition to him and he was not aware of Grey Pride, So i explained what it was all about, Hope it did some good.
Thanks Kathryn.
I'm not sure that I can contribute much to Grey Pride, as I don't have much grey matter left. Had there been a Bald Pride, that might have been more appropriate!
Thanks for the message about local resources and community events, but as I've spent years getting involved and volunteering, one way or another, I'm looking forward to doing more of the things that interest me on my own. Besides, getting about is expensive! Sorry if that seems anti-social.
Hi Kathryn
I'm on it! Thank you for letting me know.
Best wishes as always
Jan
