Doncaster 50plus Older People's Parliament

It is interesting that the fifty-somethings now are being accused of what went wrong over the last five decades according to the comment made on my blog. My daughter's generation was the one that challenged the establishment, threw out old moral concepts and disregarded the older generation's values. It was largely spawned by the philosophy that humans were innately selfish and allowed to go their own way, society would eventually stabilise itself, which it did for a while. (See…

I am 82 this year and all through my life our generation has been forgotten. We were born in the Great Depression and our parents were wrapped up in a struggle for survival then. Next were the war years and the same thing happened. When I was in my teens I left school to look after my baby sister while mother went to work.
